I like itAug 24, 2010 Nice HRM. I bought it to replace an old Polar that lacked the functions I wanted in an HRM. It is well made, accurate, and user friendly. The chest strap is comfortable but on the smallish side. I wear it just below my chest at around 38" (43" chest) with the strap at it's max length but not tight. Nice watch with easy to use buttons and very good display. No problems with interference when around other HRM users. I've been using it for about three months.
Pro's:
- HRM is accurate and responsive
- Max/avg/min BPM tracked
- Auto and manual zones
- Time in zone
- Many display modes
- Water resistant so far
- Nice chrono and timer
Con's:
- Time in zone only for selected zone. Either you're in or you're not.
- Calorie counter completely useless. None of them are accurate so why bother?
- Somewhat short chest strap. Could be a problem for larger users.
DisappointedAug 18, 2010 1 battery change and the device was finished. Spend a little more and get a quality product.
It's okAug 10, 2010 The Timex Unisex HRM has a lot of functions - HR, Avg, Hi, Time in Zone, Recovery, Lap splits and it counts calories. The calorie count is high compared to the calorie burn charts on the internet. The watch itself is on the large side. I have an average wrist size for a woman - 7" - and I fasten the band at the 3rd smallest notch. If you have a small wrist the watch might be too large for you. One disappointment is that the chest strap interferes with my bike's wireless computer. My old Polar strap did not, even though it wasn't the type that is paired to the Polar HRM.
Great Heart MonitorAug 03, 2010 Great accuracy and sensitivity. Tried others like Polar but this beats them. Various "looks" on the face to read the rate, time, etc. Directions could be a little simpler, but just outstanding with many features. GREAT price!
No ProblemsJul 27, 2010 This watch works great!! The only negative I have are the instructions. They are not the clearest I have ever seen, but if you stay persistent you can figure it out.
